Create a panel schedule
- In your dashboard, click Panel schedules in the left menu.
- Click New.
- Enter the Address.
- Under About the panel, fill in what you know: Nominal voltage, Numbering, Occupancy type, Job number, A.I.C. rating, Panel number, Type, Main breaker (if present) and Panel rating.
- Add anything else in the notes box, such as NEMA rating, lugs, feed or mounting type.
- Fill in the breakers (see below).
- Click Create panel schedule.
Fill in the breakers
- Pick the breaker type for each space: 1 Pole, Tandem, 2 Pole, Triple, Quad, 3P or 4P.
- Set the amperage, then type a label or choose a common one from the list.
- Use Move up, Move down or drag the handle to reorder a breaker, and Duplicate to copy one.
- To empty a space, use Clear breaker, Delete blank or Delete unusable space, whichever the row offers. Clearing a breaker leaves a blank space; deleting the blank removes it and moves the breakers below it up.
Edit a panel schedule
- Open the panel schedule from Panel schedules.
- Click Edit and make your changes.
- Click Save and view.
Editing a saved panel schedule needs a paid plan.
Download, print or share
Open the panel schedule. Before you download or print, choose a Page Size:
- Letter (8.5 × 11) for a full-page schedule.
- Label (5 × 7) for a smaller, label-sized copy.
Then use Download, Print or Share. Share gives you two options: Invite team member to edit adds the person to your account, and Send PDF via email only emails a PDF copy when you click Share PDF.
On the mobile app
You can build a panel schedule at the panel from your phone. In the app, go to Tools, then Panel schedule. See Mobile app.
Free plan and Commercial features
- A free account can create 2 panel schedules. Editing a saved schedule needs a paid plan.
- Commercial panel schedules need the Commercial Pro plan. See pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I note a sub-feed, lugs or how the panel is fed?
Use the notes box under About the panel. It is meant for details like NEMA rating, lugs, feed and mounting type.
Can I track several panels for one job?
Yes. Create a panel schedule for each panel (main, sub-panels and distribution panels) and give each one its own Panel number so they are easy to tell apart.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. Try the free panel schedule tool. You need a free account (no credit card) to unlock the final document.
Can I change the title without it showing on the PDF?
Yes. The title only organizes documents in your dashboard. It does not appear on the PDF.
Can I brand panel schedules with my company logo, contact info and license numbers?
Yes. Panel schedules carry your branding, not Kopperfield's.
Do I have to use AI to build a panel schedule?
No. Building a schedule by hand from your field notes is fully supported. The AI is optional.
Are photos included in the panel schedule PDF?
No. Photos are not part of the final report.
Does it work offline?
No. The desktop, mobile and tablet versions all need an internet connection.
If I stop my subscription, can I still get my panel schedules?
You can still open and view them, and archive them. Downloading, printing, sharing and editing need an active subscription, so download anything you need before your plan ends, or reactivate to get it later.
